Ukrainian Bilingual

The English/Ukrainian Bilingual program in Mountain View School Division is located at Smith-Jackson Elementary school.  This is the only single track English/Ukrainian Bilingual program in western Canada!  The school offers instruction in Ukrainian, English and Basic French.

Research shows that students who learn additional languages are developmentally advanced. They excel academically and acquire an increased capacity for learning new skills. The English- Ukrainian Bilingual Program (EUBP) provides instruction in English, Ukrainian and French. It allows each student to gain valuable language skills, as well as a rich understanding of Ukrainian traditions and heritage. It’s this balance of excellent academic instruction and cultural enrichment that makes the EUBP unique among language programs in Manitoba.
