The Fort Ellice interpretive trail near Saint-Lazare in Manitoba is an incomparable learning environment according to local educators. As the school year draws to a close in Manitoba, a group of students came to spend the day at the site of the old Hudson's Bay trading post last week. Fourth and fifth grade students from Whitmore Elementary School in Dauphin made bannock, interacted with local elders and participated in treasure hunts and workshops on the history of the site and nature.
