Grade 12 HSAP Transition to Post-Secondary Apprenticeship

HSAP Facilitator's Role in Transition:
  1. Provide advice for apprentices planning to continue apprenticeship training
  2. Collect documents on behalf of the student and submit them to Apprenticeship Manitoba:
    • completed high school transcript
    • up to date, signed Report of Hours Blue Book  
 
HSAP Student's Role in Transition:
  1. Continue to work in their apprenticeable trade to accumulate on-the-job work experience hours
  2. Register for their level 1 or 2 in-class technical training course
  3. When the Report-of-Hours Blue Book is returned via mail, students will continue to keep track of their hours and send in the Report of Hours Blue Book in 4-6 month intervals

Apprentices transferring from the High School Apprenticeship Program (HSAP) into the post-secondary apprenticeship program MAY BE exempt from having to pay tuition. You must indicate that you have HSAP tuition credits when registering for technical training in order for them to be applied to your tuition. Contact Apprenticeship Manitoba by phone or in person to use your tuition credit. DO NOT register on-line.
 
Be certain of the college and dates of training and always confirm technical training dates with your employer prior to making a registration payment. Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
