Three MVSD EAs Nominated for Educational Assistant of the Year Award

The 29th Annual Yes I Can! awards were presented on February 28th, 2019, in Winnipeg. The Manitoba Council for Exceptional Children hosts the event to recognize the achievements of students with special needs as well as special educators and educational assistants who support students with special needs. This year, three Educational Assistants from Mountain View School Division were nominated for the Educational Assistant of the Year Award. Staff from Grandview K-12 School nominated Gayle Donald and Ochre River School nominated Aline Oversby and Carolyn Tielmann. Congratulations to Gayle, Aline and Carolyn on the nomination!

Cafe Night

Parent Information Night In a unique fashion, parents will receive 15-20 minute informational sessions on the crucial topics affecting our students today. Free childcare will be provided at the school. Coffee and snacks available. Topics will include: Student Anxiety, Vaping, Collapse of Parenting, Social Media/Exploration, and Post Secondary Options. 2019-2020 Public Budget Meeting

Mountain View School Division will be holding a Public Budget Forum to present and discuss information relevant to the 2019-2020 Operating Budget. A presentation related to the division’s operations will be followed with an opportunity for discussion.

Those interested in participating in this Forum can attend at the Administration Office Conference Room in Dauphin. In addition, the Forum will be streamed for public viewing and participation through the school division website at www.mvsd.ca.

The Forum will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2019. The Board of Trustees encourages and appreciates your attendance.

MSBA Launches "Local Voices, Local Choices" Campaign

MVSD Board of Trustees Nominates Student for MSBA Citizenship Award

Congratulations to Grace Wieler, who has been nominated by the MVSD Board of Trustees to be considered for the 2019 Manitoba School Boards Association (MSBA) Student Citizenship Award. The MVSD Board of Trustees is seeking applications for nomination for the Manitoba School Boards Association (MSBA) Student Citizenship Award.  The George Harbottle Memorial Award, sponsored by the Association of Manitoba Municipalities (AMM), will be selected from amongst the regional MSBA Student Citizenship award winners.  Applications must be received by the MVSD Board of Trustees by January 25, 2019 to be considered for nomination to MSBA. Click on the above link for details!
